This page details certificates and achievements I have obtained, and why the experience was so valuable to me.
St. Johns Ambulance Essential First Aid course 2015
In November 2015 I took part in a first aid course with St. John’s Ambulance service. In this course I learnt the essentials of life saving first aid, such as CPR and dealing with choking and severe bleeding.

This course helped me to feel more confident and able, should I be faced with a situation in which I need to deliver first aid. I feel that this is an important qualification for me to have, as I aspire to a career in which I am working with people, and now feel that I am better able to ensure their safety when in my care. This is a qualification which must be repeated every 3 years to remain valid, and I fully intend to keep up with this, and perhaps even take more courses that are specifically for first aid with children and babies.
Derby Decorative and Fine Arts Society Bursary 2013
In 2013 I won the Derby Decorative and Fine Arts Society’s Young Arts Bursary for my paintings that were my final pieces on my foundation art course at Derby College. I was selected for this bursary out of my entire year group at college, and this was featured in the Derby Telegraph. It was wonderful to receive this award and the recognition for my hard work and it enabled me to further develop my artistic practice, asI was able to spend the money on art materials that I would otherwise have not been able to afford. As such I am very grateful and proud of this award.
