creative Workshops

I trained at the University of Derby as an arts workshop facilitator, completing my degree in Creative Expressive Therapies in 2017.

I now design and deliver arts workshops in health and care settings in the East Midlands, from hospitals and care homes to community centres. Often they form part of a care or rehabilitation plan, and can be designed for groups or individuals.

I love sharing my skills and enjoyment of the arts to enrich people’s lives.

I specialise in visual arts, including painting, drawing and textiles.

However, I design sessions in a person-centred way, drawing on the interests and needs of participants. This means I have worked with a wide variety of materials and techniques, including animation, horticulture, music and writing.

My workshops are accessible for people from all backgrounds, ages and abilities. Since beginning my career I’ve taken my work to a variety of settings, from Sure-Start Centres to Dementia care wards, private homes to community festivals. In all these places, creativity enables us to connect and communicate in ways that go beyond verbal language.

All of my workshops are designed and delivered with care.

I work with people to create workshop plans that support their own interests and aims. Participants’ wellbeing will always be at the centre of my work. I have a DBS certificate, makaton training, safeguarding training and artist insurance.
