‘Self Portait’ 2012. Acrylic on canvas. This was the first very large scale painting that I made for my A level exam. This piece was inspired by ideas of gesture and we project ourselves through body language.

‘Subconscious (1 of 2)’ 2013. Acrylic, Emulsion and mirrored glass on board. The first of two paintings I made for my Final Major project at Derby College. This work was about subconscious and non verbal communication, such as body language and micro facial expressions.

‘Faded Glories’ 2013

Experimental oil painting – during my year at Nottingham Trent I began to experiment with oils for the first time. I enjoyed the flexibility that they allowed me, and their richness. I have slowly moved away from acrylic paint and into oil painting as my preferred medium now, but I am also curious about using a combination of paint and pastel mediums in conjunction.

‘I’ve been seein’ someone else’ 2014. Oil on canvas. This piece is part of a body of work I made whilst studying Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University, inspired by ‘pseudo-therapy’ talk shows, such as Jerry Springer.
