Capturing your day

I’m a portrait artist based in Derbyshire, with over 10 years’ experience painting people and meaningful moments.

On your wedding day, I paint live for up to six hours, working from reference photographs and video taken during the celebration. We agree the moment in advance, and I complete the final artwork in my studio using archival acrylic paints and varnish — creating a piece you can keep forever.

How It works:

To begin. Before the wedding we have a consultation call in which we discuss your chosen moment, colour palette and any meaningful elements you wish to include in your piece.

On the day I set up my easel and paints before your guests arrive to begin working on the under-painting. We arrange in advance a moment to take video and photographs of your chosen wedding ‘scene’. This might be during your ceremony, your walk back down the aisle, your first dance or whatever is special to you. I then paint live for up to 6 hours, quietly observing and capturing the atmosphere. Guests are welcome to watch, chat with me and even lay down a brush stroke!

In the studio, I complete the painting in the following days and apply a protective varnish layer. This ensures that your piece of art is protected and will stay beautiful on your wall for the years to come.

Your finished piece of artwork is packaged with care and delivered, ready to be framed or displayed as is.
